Marketing Executive (SEO / Social Media)
Jack started at Colewood Digital in 2022 as an apprentice, beginning his journey in digital marketing. During this apprenticeship, he spent time working across the agency’s different marketing teams, developing practical skills in SEO, social media, PPC and more, while also attending college to learn the theory behind what he was doing. Working alongside experienced digital marketers at Colewood Digital helped Jack achieve a Distinction in his Level 3 Digital Marketer Apprenticeship. He then progressed onto a Level 4 qualification, which he completed with a Merit in 2026. As of June 2026, Jack works full-time as a Marketing Executive, managing SEO and social media campaigns for a range of clients. He uses the knowledge and experience gained throughout his apprenticeship to help businesses improve their online presence and achieve their marketing goals.
Background & Experience
Jack has become the go-to guy for audits, carrying out technical analysis for potential clients that may be coming on for Colewood's digital marketing services.
On top of his day-to-day duties in SEO and Social Media, the experience from his apprenticeship has given Jack a wider knowledge of how various marketing practices work. This helps when collaborating with Paid and Email Marketing teams, along with the Creative and Development teams, through knowledge, conversations, and training. This means he's happy to go talk their ear off if something needs doing for one of his clients, and opens opportunities for collaboration. Jack's SEO expertise includes keyword research, content creation, metadata optimisation, schema markup implementation, technical website audits, and competitor analysis using tools like SEMrush and Screaming Frog. He also has significant experience creating and optimising social media strategies, including content planning, calendar creation, trend analysis, hashtag research, and performance optimisation.

Jack attended Stockton Riverside College for the duration of his apprenticeship.
More About Jack
Jack loves all things music, playing drums since he was 8 and being in various bands over the years. On weekends, he regularly attends gigs (or plays them!). He also enjoys video games and anime like Pokémon, and has recently found a new addiction through the popular card game Magic: The Gathering. Listening to music on vinyl records is also how Jack spends his free time, with his favourite bands at the moment being Talking Heads, Eagles, and Steely Dan.
